The craft fair to remember after a tragic week
Today was the Christmas craft fair at church. It turns out there are some incredibly talented people at our church, who've created pottery, jewelry, and one artist in particular painted some really skilled and detailed portraits of some of the ladies who are very active in the congregation. They were very well done, but I'm not sure that when those ladies posed topless for the artist they knew the paintings would be on display at this week's holiday event. They all made a point of staying far away from that table.
This has been a challenging week for us here. My 2 youngest daughters were distraught to learn on Friday that their beloved Brownie Troop leader died on Thursday afternoon. She was only in her forties and leaves behind two young daughters and a devastated husband. My heart goes out to them.
Blessings to you all as the days grow darker.
