It’s the rainy season here in Mazatlán. We walked our dog today with black clouds overhead in the kind of heat that makes you sweat as soon as the outside air hits you. A halo of mosquitos circled our heads as my old dog plodded along, then stopped, then moved forward, then stopped. I tug his leash and he digs in. The mosquitos get louder and and buzz my ears. I try not to panic about Dengue fever which is common here. Then the rain starts and we head home. Tonight we do it all again.
