Another graduate, Chloe's off to Ecuador and violence in Sinaloa
So this happened!! Naomi completed the online high school course this month and we are super proud of them! Getting through this course in a foreign country, online through a pandemic has been epic.
Chloe has been busy exploring Ecuador through her job with the International Kitchen.
Here she is sitting on the equator!
...And it looks like this is in one of many hotel rooms, getting ready for a trade show.
Phoebe is still in Arizona and just got a new job (that hasn't quite started yet) at the NOIR lab next to the Observatory. So excited to see her working in her field.
Mike and I are both back teaching this semester and have been getting great reviews on our new graphic novel, Ghosts, The People That Melt in The Rain 2. We also won gold and silver awards from Readers Favorites for Deluge, The People That Melt in The Rain 1
Unfortunately things have been heating up here with the Sinaloan Cartel fracturing and now these factions have a civil war going in the capital in Culiacán. The war has been spreading all over the state. In recent weeks the chief of police was shot here in Mazatlán and as I understand it, 10 people were kidnapped last week in this city. These are the things I have read and been told, but I would like to say at this point that my blog is NOT a news source. I just bring this up because we live here, we hear things, and are concerned. Hopefully things will settle down again.
