The Solar Eclipse

The city is packed with eclipse tourists and soldiers and even NASA is here to take pictures.

Phoebe is watching from Tucson even though she desperately wanted to come down. Her teacher refused to move one of her tests. She's finishing her astropsychics degree.

Chloe watched in Chicago-Sharing glasses with a friend!

Naomi and I on the roof just as it started.

Mike about 10 minutes before totality.

As we counted down to totality we could hear people cheering throughout the city!

And then it was dark. Taking off my glasses to look at the sun was a scary moment, but we could see a solar flare with our eyes!! It was amazing...And quiet. Everyone was quiet (that's a big deal in Mexico, even during the pandemic it wasn't this quiet.)

This was an amazing way to start the week!!
